Rapper Drake’s Heavyweight Diamond Necklace

This is the latest heavyweight jewelry extravaganza from Canadian rapper Drake – a necklace fashioned from 6lbs of gold and 250 carats of flawless colored diamonds.

It depicts his alter ego, a cartoon character called Anita Max Wynn who he introduced to fans in 2023.

The piece was commissioned from celebrity jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills for an undisclosed price.

The pendant, a likeness of Anita Max Wynn, shows a girl sporting a blonde bob haircut, rosy cheeks and large spectacles. It is set with white, blue, green and pink diamonds.

A graphic on the reverse shows concert venues on Drake’s upcoming tour, together with a secret panel revealing a 3D skyline recreation of Toronto, his home town.

Drake is known for his extravagant and expensive jewelry collection, including a chain featuring 2,100 VVS diamonds totaling 74.9 carats, his Owl Chain, made of 1kg of gold and over 100 carats of Asscher cut diamonds and the $12.5m Previous Engagements necklace with 42 stones representing 42 potential engagements (total 351.38 carats).

Drake, aged 38 – real name Aubrey Drake Graham – showed off the necklace on Instagram ahead of a tour of Australia and New Zealand next month.

Drake isn’t afraid to fall in love, and now he’s got an insanely flashy piece of jewelry to prove it — a necklace with 42 engagement ring diamonds — for all the times he’s wanted to propose.

Celebrity Jeweler Alex Moss tells TMZ … Champagne Papi’s new piece is called “Previous Engagements,” a tribute to all the women Drizzy contemplated asking to marry him, but never went through.

In total, we’re told the piece’s 42 stones count for 351.38 carats in diamonds. On top of all the ice, it’s made using 18K white gold and was set using the eagle claw technique.

Alex tells us the entire thing took 14 months to complete and was built by hand in NYC … though he won’t reveal how much it cost.

Drake debuted it at Lil Baby’s birthday concert in Atlanta last Saturday at State Farm Arena.

42 may seem like a lot, but there’s always room to add more for The Certified Lover Boy.

The “Hotline Bling” rapper can’t stop buying more and more diamond rings to add to his collection. The latest? A 22 carat heart shaped ring set in platinum to celebrate his 33rd birthday.

Created by Gemma Fine Jewelry, Drizzy’s insane design features one enormous bezel-set diamond and also includes three hearts in the bridge underneath the massive rock. The love centric theme could be a testament to just how much the Toronto native adores himself, but jeweler Ori Vechler also called him “the King of Hearts.”

According to Ajay Anand, CEO of Rare Carat, Drake’s new sparkler could have cost around $500,000. “Heart shaped diamonds are one of the most unpopular diamond shapes, because they are so tricky to cut right,” Anand said. “This is a great example of one cut very well, which is quite rare.”

It seems like the unconventional shape is enjoying a bit of a comeback; Offset also recently gifted wife Cardi B with a similar design for her 27th birthday.

Drake debuted the bling at his star studded mobster themed birthday party last week, where he was also sporting his custom Toronto Raptors championship ring, which boasts more than 30 carats of diamonds.

Suffice it to say that Drizzy’s heading into his 33rd year with a lot more sparkle.
